Management Team (North America)

Patrick A. Gouveia, President and C.E.O., has 37 years’ experience in the global public refrigerated warehouse (“PRW”) business. He has successfully built, managed, and consolidated disparate operations in 50 facilities into a $500 million annual revenue business with an enterprise value of over $700 million. Mr. Gouveia began his PRW career in 1973 at Odyssey Industries, the parent company of Associated Freezers of Canada. Mr. Gouveia held a number of senior executive positions between 1973 and 1986 and rose to the position of Chief Financial Officer. In 1986, Mr. Gouveia founded Spire Group to acquire and consolidate the PRW industry in North America.

Mr. Gouveia is the Past Chairman of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (“IARW”), a world-wide association that aggressively promotes more efficient distribution services, aids members in new technology and advises members in complying with local and international regulations.

Mr. Gouveia manages his investments through the Spire Group which includes significant investments in public cold storage warehouses in North America under the Everest Cold Storage banner, and in Eastern Europe and India under the Everest Kool Solutions banner.

Dianne Hutchison, Chief Operating Officer, joined Spire Group Limited in 1987 and has been associated with all of the Spire related companies dealing with mergers and acquisitions, administrative and accounting functions.  Ms. Hutchison provides accounting and financial support to our India and New Zealand facilities.

Prior to joining Spire, Ms. Hutchison was employed at a major Toronto law firm for nine years as an administrative and personnel assistant.

Robert Lockie, Global Operations Manager, has 25 years’ experience in the frozen and refrigerated industry and the transportation sector as it relates to information technological developments. Mr. Lockie was instrumental in the implementation of several greenfield start ups over his career. Prior to his involvement in the PRW and transportation industry, Mr. Lockie has 15 years’ experience in the management and implementation of I.T. systems in the service sector.

Dave Hendricks, Vice President U.S. Operations, has 28 years of experience in the PRW business, third party logistics and food distribution with background in operations, customer service and sales.  Mr. Hendricks has managed multiple facilities of varying sizes.
Mr. Hendricks began working in the PRW business in 1987 and has held multiple management positions throughout his career.  He spent 5 years with a large food distribution company before moving into the PRW business.  Mr. Hendricks resides in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Ronald N. Perryman, Corporate Controller, is an experienced financial executive in the public refrigerated warehousing (“PRW”) industry. He has been instrumental in the evaluation, due diligence, acquisition and integration of numerous PRW acquisitions and greenfield startup operations. Mr. Perryman was most recently the Vice President Finance of a Canadian publicly listed PRW company with sales in excess of $500 million operating 54 facilities throughout North America.

Mr. Perryman commenced his financial career as a chartered accountant with Touché Ross and as a senior manager specialized in the audits of clients in the PRW industry. His experience in this industry also includes financing, tax reporting and compliance and financial system development and implementation.

Mr. Perryman is a Chartered Accountant in Canada and holds a B.Sc. from McMaster University.

Alicia A. Gouveia, Director of Corporate Development, has been involved with the Spire related companies since 1993. She is responsible for the development and implementation of Spire’s marketing initiatives. Ms. Gouveia has experience in developing advertising and marketing plans and corporate branding. Ms. Gouveia also heads up the real estate investments for the related companies. She is a graduate of Bishop University.
